There are a great many communities that would be capable of solving their own problems themselves. If only they had access to the right resources. Resources that are available elsewhere in the world: information, existing solutions, expertise, ideas, man power. NABUUR.COM brings communities in developing countries into direct contact with committed individuals worldwide who want to assist them. These virtual Neighbours can help by finding the resources needed by the community. NABUUR.COM is always looking for enthusiastic and dedicated people who want to be responsible for making a NABUUR.COM community a success. If you like being a Neighbour and want to do even more, you might consider becoming a: Wanted Volunteer Facilitators What is a Facilitator? A Facilitator is responsible for a specific NABUUR.COM Village. A Facilitator is a host, moderator and project manager. (S)he welcomes new neighbours, makes sure the Village website is up to date and looking attractive, and defines the project plan, together with the Local Community. Being a Facilitator is a great responsibility, as the Facilitator is responsible for achieving the results the Local Community is looking for. Just as the Neighbours, a Facilitator is an unpaid volunteer. Who can become a Facilitator If the following applies to you, you are encouraged to apply for the Facilitator position: The facilitator is: - Proactive
- A natural leader who knows how to mobilise people
- A team-player
- A pioneer who doesn?t give up easily
- Equipped with excellent interpersonal skills online
Facilitators have to be able to work for their NABUUR.COM Village 6 hours a week, should be fluent in English, have daily internet access, and should be available for at least 6 months. If your application is successful, you will be invited to join the Facilitator training. If you successfully complete the training, you can apply for a NABUUR.COM Village.
