Airlines I frequently get asked about flights. Commonly used flights to TZ are Emirates. British Airways (nice as it is direct from Heathrow), Kenyan Airlines and KLM. Do shop around to get the best deal. Also worth checking is a 'Round the World' ticket for a price comparison.

Insurance/Flight Suggestions from Jen B... Hi, I'm a returned volunteer from the 22 Sept 06 program in Matumbo village, just outside of Singida. I traveled to there from Boulder, CO, U.S.A last fall. Most of the advice I will have is for U.S.-based volunteers.

Overnight transitting in Nairobi or other airports Thanks Miriam for this website. Useful for any volunteer who has an overnight transfer in an international airport but doesn't want to leave the airport for those hours.

Meeting up at Heathrow or Dubai Meeting at Heathrow is an added bonus. Don't book your flight just for this. Go for the cheapest or shortest. However, many vols fly either through Heathrow (North Americans and Irish vols) or originate their flight at Heathrow (UK vols). When you get some flight quotes if the flight you chose happens to be one...
