Coast to Coast for Secondary School

Ellen Cheshire Posted At 2005/09/06 23:03)
Hello!

Well we managed it - 137 miles from the West coast to the East - Whitehaven to Tynemouth. There was some pretty big hills along the way and a bit of pushing the bike up them, but some fast, fun downhills too.

We did it in the 3 days and were really lucky with the weather - a couple of light showers but apart from that mainly sunny. We saw some lovely countryside in the Lake District and the Pennines and went to some great 'local' country pubs!

Thank you so much to everyone that has sponsored me - I'm hoping that we should raise quite a few hundred pounds. But don't worry if you didn't sponsor me before as it's not too late! - details are below of how to donate some money now.

Thanks again

Ellen
