 Hi Moya

Very sorry that we haven't been updating you on the volenteering. Singida internet time is very valuable, and before I Have even had time to reply to various family members and friends my time seems to have run out!

The Mughumbu expirience was really good, and the HAPA lot have been really great to us, and the training week with Benjimen was fun - so all round a big thumbs up!

I can't think of much specific to tell you at this moment as it was such a big expirence, so i don't know where to start. The construction of the school seems to be going ok. We got up to the foundations level and built a hell of a lot of bricks (although i htink this is only half the amount needed!) by the time i left.

The HAPA lot really seem to be pushing for more villagers to chip in. We sat in on a village meeting where they gave little speeches to encourage involvement. I think that when loads of villagers do show up it is quite differcult for Brown (the site foreman - a really really sound guy!) to organise all the varoius jobs with the occasional lack of tools. But he seems to be copeing ok.

We also had a look round a few of the other HAPA project on the last day which was also a really rewarding expirence. It was great to see all the projects they have compleated being so appreiciated by the local community.

So i've set off on my travels again. I have just taken a boat accross lake victoria to a town called Bukoba. I shall take a bus to Uganda in the morning. Then i hope to travel round uganda and Kenya for the next 6 weeks then hopefully meet up with some of the volenteers in Zanzibar.

So thanks again for giving me the opputunity to take part in this volenteering. I really enjoyed it, and it is definetley the most memorable and most rewarding part of my travels. I'm sure I will stay in touch with you and the HAPA lot, and hopfully be able to help again in the future.

Cheers.

George
