Notes:
The ideal date for applying for a programme is three to six months before the departure date - assuming that places are still available. The reason for this is to allow time for completing all the necessary formalities, in particlar meeting the local visa requirements for volunteers. The minimum time is 5 weeks before a departure.

All programmes start in Dar es Salaam at 8am on Monday morning. You need to arrive on the Sunday - failing that Saturday. (You will be met at the airport).

Programme Start & End dates are not flexible. We are now able to offer a range of programmes of different lengths and start / finish dates. We are sorry if these do not fit in with you exact requirements but regret that we can only accept applications from volunteers who are available for the full length of the programme for which they are applying (i.e. there are no options to start or finish earlier or later than the dates given above.

Tanzania is a large country with lots of things in it to explore once you have finished you time in Singida. VolunteerAfrica strongly recommends that volunteers on the 4 week programme allow at least 1 extra week for traveling, whilst volunteers on the longer programmes allow at least 2 extra weeks.
